The Dens Park club had originally voted no on Friday only for it not to land with the governing body allowing them to retract it and deliberate further.

The decision to change their position has allowed the SPFL to pass the resolution which has seen Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers crowned champions of their respective divisions and Partick Thistle and Stranraer relegated.

In addition, the Scottish Premiership, which has not been decided, could follow the same route which would mean Celtic are champions and Hearts demoted.

Griffiths shared a Photoshopped image from Channel 4 show The Inbetweeners which indicated Hearts and Rangers complaining, asking why Dundee did what they did with the reply being ‘funny’.

As part of the SPFL’s statement confirming the passing of the resolution with 81 per cent of the 42 member clubs in favour, they revealed their commitment to consulting with clubs over league reconstruction and an expanded top flight.

Hearts chairman Ann Budge and Hamilton chief Les Gray will lead a task force with the Scottish Sun reporting that a decision could arrive in May.
