Celtic set for Dembele windfall as Barcelona join race

Celtic could cash in to the tune of £4 million if former Parkhead ace Moussa Dembele moves on this summer. Manchester United and Chelsea are weighing up £60m moves for the Frenchman while Barcelona are also understood to be keen. Dembele’s current club Lyon could make a move for Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard if they lose the former PSG youngster. (The Sun)

Rangers ‘miss out’ on Liverpool target

Rangers have reportedly failed in a bid to entice Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella amid reports the 22-year-old has all but agreed a three-year deal with Nantes in France. Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard knows the former Valencia kid from his time coaching at Anfield but looks to have missed out on a deal for the player. (Daily Express)

Rivals learn price-tag for target

Celtic and Rangers would have to pay out £9 million to bring Clermont hit-man Adrian Grbic to Scotland this summer, according to reports in France. Grbic bagged 17 goals for Clermont in the 2019/20 season before the coronavirus brought an abrupt end to the season and his exploits have not gone unnoticed. But despite the hefty price-tag putting off fellow suitors Brest, £9 million may be too much for either Glasgow side to cough up for the Austrian striker. (MaLigue2)

Tottenham are set to beat London rivals Arsenal to the signature of Celtic youngster Daniel Kelly. The 15-year-old has been on the radar of several clubs thanks to his impressive performances for the Hoops youth teams, and the Parkhead side are believed to have offered him new terms. Stendel's talks on Hearts future hinge on SPFL decision

Hearts manager Daniel Stendel will discuss his future with owner Ann Budge if and when the club are officially relegated from the Premiership. His contract, which runs until summer 2022, is not valid outwith the top flight so he will be free to leave if Hearts end up in the Championship. He and Budge have yet to formally talk about whether he might stay on in that case. (Evening News)

Gullan given first-team hope

Jamie Gullan was denied the run in to the season he had been looking forward to – but his Hibs manager Jack Ross is hoping the past couple of months have not gone to waste. Ross said: “It was a shame for him because his progression had been brilliant and he was in a good place, in terms of his form and mentally as well. Particularly for guys like Jamie who has stepped up, they should have used this time to reflect on where they were a year ago or 18 months ago and where they are now. They need to look at how that has happened and if someone like Jamie can understand why that has happened then he can keep doing that and that will keep him in a good position.” (The Scotsman)

Ross: No sympathy for Hearts

Hibs boss Jack Ross is adamant he will have no sympathy for Hearts if and when they are relegated from the Scottish Premiership. The Tynecastle side looks likely to drop into the second tier but the Easter Road head coach said: “There have been times in recent years both clubs have found themselves outside the top division for different reasons and I don’t think either club would offer too much sympathy for the other because of the circumstances. So if it pans out we are not in the same league then so be it but I’m sure these games will come around again.” (Daily Record)
