Celtic still keen on Kerk

Celtic remain interested in Utrecht winger Gyrano Kerk, after having a bid for the Dutch wideman rejected on the last day of the January transfer window, according to the club’s manager John van den Brom. Interest in the 24-year-old dried up due to the coronavirus pandemic but his manager said: “There is no concrete interest at the moment, although it may be different tomorrow. But I expect that everything will get going again in September, especially if the transfer window is extended.” (RTV Utrecht)

Foderingham in Gerrard blast

Wes Foderingham has claimed Rangers priced him out of a move away from Ibrox, as he accused Steven Gerrard of not letting him train with the first team. The goalkeeper left the club last month but insists Gerrard wanted him out two seasons ago. He said: “When [Allan] McGregor came in it was always the club’s intention to sell me that summer. At this point I wasn’t even training with the team. I trained with the goalies but when we went into the main session I had to stay over - I couldn’t believe it. I thought I was leaving that summer but I spoke to my agent and he said the club wanted X amount for me but no clubs were biting at that amount.” (Open Goal)

Clubs queue up for Kamberi

Florian Kamberi will return to Hibs later this month - but both club and player have accepted that his future lies elsewhere with a number of sides across Europe ready to battle for his signature. The Swiss-born striker will report back for training along with the rest of the Hibs squad on 15 June following the end of his loan spell at Rangers but there is interest in the striker from Germany, Poland and England while a move to Rangers could still be on the cards. Ajer dumps agent

Kristoffer Ajer has reportedly severed ties with his long-time agent as clubs including AC Milan continue to monitor the highly-rated defender. Ajer has been with Tore Pedersen for the last seven years but the Norway international is tipped to sign a deal with Dutch agency SEG after opting not to continue with Pedersen. (The Sun)

Hayes on MLS options – but hasn’t ruled out Scotland stay

Jonny Hayes has confirmed interest in him from America over the last 18 months as he spoke about his options following his releae from Celtic. The Irishman hinted that he could still look for a move Stateside but added: “I’ve always loved Aberdeen… it’s something I’d definitely look at.” (The Sun)

SPFL keen to move quickly after Anderson talks

Neil Doncaster wants to move quickly after talks with millionaire Hearts benefactor James Anderson, who is offering financial help to Scottish clubs. SPFL officials have spoken with the Edinburgh-based investment expert about supporting teams during the coronavirus crisis. Anderson is willing to make a multi-million pound donation to help clubs across the SPFL and Doncaster, the league’s chief executive, said talks were “very constructive”. (The Scotsman)
