The Scottish Sun say tcompliance officer Clare Whyte has studied the footage of the clash in the 3-3 draw at Pittodrie on Sunday and found no case to answer.

The incident wasn’t analysed on the Sky Sports broadcast but replays circulating on social media after the game showed Wright appearing to be caught by Brown’s elbow as he moved around the midfielder at a throw-in.

Referee Willie Collum took no action at the time and Whyte has now followed suit.

Brown will now be free to face the same side when Celtic and Aberdeen lock horns again this coming Sunday in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

An injury-time Lewis Ferguson penalty ensured a share of the spoils last weekend. Celtic had overturned a 2-1 second-half deficit to a 3-2 lead late in the game, only for Ferguson to tuck away his second spot-kick of the game.
