But the latest image sparking a social buzz is that of a rumoured third kit.

Celtic have often released a third kit, with recent examples including the 125th anniversary kit of white shirt, black shorts and green and black hooped socks and the yellow and black ‘tiger’ away kit from the 2011/12 season.

The leaked images, posted on footyheadlines.com, purport to show a third kit similar in style and colour to the infamous ‘bumblebee kit’ of the 1996/97 season, as worn by the likes of Henrik Larsson, Simon Donnelly and Andreas Thom.

Now something of a cult kit, it’s not the first time Celtic have revisited neon yellow and black hoops, as they wore a similar strip in 2009/10 and occasionally in Europe during the 2010/11 campaign.
