Four of Scottish football’s biggest clubs made moves yesterday, with Celtic gaining a new left-back, Aberdeen bringing back a former favourite, Rangers adding to their midfield options and Hibs taking St Mirren’s captain away from Paisley, as it proved to be another eventful deadline day in the SPFL.
Fans of every club who made moves on Monday will be hoping these guys don’t prove to be duds. There are certainly some examples of players who’ve failed to deliver after being signed to much fanfare on deadline day, such as Jerome Rothen and Stefan Scepovic, to name just a couple.
However, there are just as many stars who shone bright after getting their deals over the line at the last minute. These are just a few examples:

2. Derek Riordan to Hibs

4. Jackson Irvine to Ross County
