Celtic fans in Barcelona face strike chaos

BARCELONA’S stadium staff have announced they are to stage a strike when Celtic play at the Nou Camp in the Champions League.

The SPL champions are due to play in Spain later this month. But the staff at Barcelona, who operate turnstiles, parking, ground maintenance, stewards and security have announced they are refusing to work in a protest over their low pay. They will also stage a walk out when Real Madrid play at the Nou Camp next week.

Celtic fans in the city for the game will also be faced with a strike by Barcelona metro workers, unhappy at their conditions.

The Catalan club are in negotiations to prevent the strike going ahead, which would cause huge problems for both Barcelona and the thousands of visiting Celtic fans expected to travel to Spain.
