Sviatchenko, 24, currently plays for Midtjylland whom he helped win the Danish Superliga last season. The deal is thought to be for a fee around £1.5 million.

He is central defender and was targeted by Celtic with a view to offering competition to their first-choice pairing of Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata.
Capped four times by Denmark, Sviatchenko scored his first international goal in a 2-1 defeat by France in a friendly in Copenhagen last October.
He is the son of the well regarded Ukrainian-born artist Sergei Sviatchenko who works mainly in collage and photography and has been described as “a provocateur in the world of contemporary art”.
Sviatchenko junior is also artistically inclined and is the co-founder of the online lifestyle magazine Close Up and Private which he works on with his father.
