Celtic: 10 strikers Brendan Rodgers could sign in January

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers admitted that the club will hopefully add a striker or two to the squad in January.

With Leigh Griffiths taking a break from football, Odsonne Edouard is the only recognised striker with the club fighting on three fronts after the winter break. Who could Celtic add to their squad in January?

The Swiss striker demonstrated what he could do against Celtic on Sunday. While he hasnt been in top form this season he has the attributes to lead the line or play with a partner and has proven himself in Scotland.

Celtic were quick to sign Lewis Morgan last season who was impressing in the Championship. Shankland cant stop scoring for Ayr and is on his way to hitting 50 goals. He is Scottish and fits the age bracket Celtic are keen on.
The 19-year-old has been a key figure as Sunderland look to get back to the Championship. While a raw talent, his clinical finishing would definitely be someone who could be useful in the short term. Out of contract in the summer.
Currently tearing it up in the French second tier with Metz, hitting 14 goals in 16 appearances. The 23-year-old works hard to get into scoring positions and is a threat in the air.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Celtic Park. Has had a fine season so far with Willem II, scoring 12 goals in the Eredivise. Out of contract at the end of the season.
The Colombian could be available on loan from Manchester City in January. He has struggled since moving to the English champions with a number of unproductive loans. But could Celtic Park be different?
The Scot would be a longer term project but he has been impressing with Malaga in Spains second tier. Linked with a £1million move to La Liga side Getafe.
In and out the team at Celta Vigo, the Swede was fond of his time at Celtic and would likely welcome a return, even if it was temporary.
A player with potential, he has had a productive campaign so far with Birmingham City. He has attributes which would be of benefit to Celtic. Adams is eligible to play for Scotland.
The Englishman has been linked with both Celtic and Rangers. Liverpool are keen on the player getting game time and will provide similar qualities to Odsonne Edouard.
