Burst Baw: Scottish football's WAGS

It can't be easy being a Scottish football WAG. While the wives and girlfriends of Premiership footballers are constantly pictured living the high life in London's west end the better halves of our footballing stars are lucky to get a night out at the Duck Bay Marina.

The Scottish football fraternity appear to be quite coy about their other halves - Leah Shevlin, partner of Allan McGregor, are an obvious exception to this rule.

The two have had numerous bust-ups reported in the tabloid press during their at times tempestuous relationship.

Lauren MacDonald is reported to be the WAG of Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu.

Scottish songstress Amy MacDonald must have regretted penning a song entitled 'Footballer's Wife' after her partner Steve Lovell proposed while she was on stage at T in the Park in 2008.

The striker plied his trade for Aberdeen when the two first got together but after spells at first Falkirk and then Partick Thistle the 30-year-old now plays for League One side Bournemouth.

Former Rangers and now striker Kenny Miller got hitched to his WAG Laura O'Donnell at the Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond - the scene of one of Scottish football's most shameful episodes.

Following Scotland's defeat to Holland, team mates Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor had a run-in with coaching staff following an eight-hour drinking session.

Former Rangers and now Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam is partnered up with 21-year-old Miss England hopeful Sophie-Leigh Anderson.
