Bradley warns of threat from bottom of table opponents

Rose, who have a 100 per cent record in the league with six wins out of six, go into the match on the back of last weekend’s 9-0 thrashing of Ardrossan in the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup.

The Prestonfield men look unstoppable and boss Bradley said: “There’s no magic wand – it’s just hard work and fitness. The lads have worked their socks off getting things right.

“They clicked in very quickly as to what we wanted to do.

“Everyone’s enjoying their game just now. Winning breeds confidence and the lads are in a confident mood right now.”

Musselburgh currently prop up the table but Bradley warned: “This is going to be a very hard game for us tomorrow because Musselburgh will be up for it. They may be sitting at the bottom of the table, but Davie McGlynn will want his side to do well here.

“They lost a lot of their best players during pre-season and he’s decided to go with a youthful policy. They’ll be full of running and desperate to show they can hack it in this league.

“The players they lost were really big players for them. Guys like Paul Tansey and Kris Renton won games on their own for Musselburgh. Now they’ve gone, the younger ones need to learn quickly and a result against an unbeaten side would boost their confidence.

“Because there’s no relegation this season, teams can afford to attack away from home and that makes it difficult. Games are more open than normal and teams can take a chance.

“We’ll be looking for a good result, one which would put pressure on the chasing pack. We’re not looking too far ahead because we could take our minds off the chase and end up with nothing.”

Rose will be without David Dunn again because of his broken arm and have Andy Shirra out with a ligament problem. The good news for Bradley, though, is that John Ovenstone is back fully fit and will slot straight back in to the team.

Musselburgh boss McGlynn knows tomorrow’s game at Prestonfield will be a major test for his youngsters but expects them to learn plenty from the match.

“Linlithgow are on fire right now and the players will learn a lot from playing them,” he said.

“Teams, though can hit the buffers during a season after starting well and things can fall apart for a while. It’s up to us to see if we can knock them off the rails. We’ve had a up-and-down start to the season but that was expected from the players.  They are still learning in this league.

“We had a good win last week in the Scottish Cup over Bridge of Don and the players took a lot from it.

“Now they have to face Linlithgow and put what they have learned so far this season into practice.

“We should have a full squad to choose from for the first time in weeks. There’s no fear for the players. They can just go out and enjoy themselves.”

Elsewhere in the Super League tomorrow, second-placed Bo’ness United travel to Carnoustie Panmure.
