Bradley big on believing

MARK BRADLEY wants his Linlithgow players to “start believing” that they can overcome a slow start to the season to become Super League champions.

Rose missed out on the chance to take over top spot from Hill of Beath when they lost 2-1 at Kelty last weekend.

It was Bradley’s first taste of defeat since taking over at Prestonfield and it proved even more painful due to the fact Kelty played for an hour with ten men and came from 1-0 down at half-time to win.

Now the Linlithgow manager is hoping his side can bounce back straight away when they entertain third-placed Bathgate at Prestonfield tomorrow.

“We’ve made it more difficult for ourselves after last Saturday,” admitted the former Hearts midfielder. “But we’ve got seven games to go and our target is still trying to win the title. It’s both frustrating and annoying that there seemed to be a feeling that we couldn’t win the league this year after a slow start.

“We need to start believing that we can.”

Bradley, who has Stuart McArthur and Alan Brown available again after injury, is also urging fans to stop heaping pressure on Tommy Coyne. He’s stuck on the 99-goal mark in Rose colours and Bradley admitted: “The quicker he gets over it the better because it’s creating added pressure he could do without.”
