Bournemouth and Aberdeen agree fee for Ryan Fraser

ABERDEEN winger Ryan Fraser could be on his way to npower League One in England after it emerged that Bournemouth have agreed a fee for the 18-year-old and been given permission to speak to him.

Fraser has broken into the Dons first team this season with a string of impressive performances but he rejected the offer of a new contract in December. It means Aberdeen need to sell the player this month if they are to receive a transfer fee.

Bournemouth are believed to be the only club so far to have met Aberdeen’s valuation and Fraser – who trained with Craig Brown’s squad as normal on Tuesday – was expected to hold talks with The Cherries yesterday.

Eddie Howe, the Bournemouth manager, refused to be drawn on how their move for Fraser was progressing. “I can’t tell you a lot, we’ll see,” Howe told the BBC. “We won’t comment until we actually sign
players and we haven’t signed anyone at the moment.”

Fraser returned from injury in Aberdeen’s 3-1 win at Dundee on 29 December and started the 2-2 draw with Dundee United in Aberdeen’s last match before the winter break.

Last night Dons manager Brown said: “It is not a given he will go there. What happens next is between Ryan, his agent and Bournemouth.”
