Bonnyrigg within touching distance of title

Lochee United 1Bonnyrigg Rose 3

Bonnyrigg are within one win of the Super League title after overcoming Lochee. The Rose are down to the bare bones due to injuries, but once again Max Christie’s men did themselves proud with a tremendous performance. After the opening skirmishes, Bonnyrigg went ahead when Liam McKenna sent Stevie Thomson through and he sent a right foot shot behind Stephen Van Der Dyl. It got even better when James Steele showed tremendous resilience in holding off Phil Maguire and the big striker laid it on a plate for Ryan McCallum to fire home.

Lochee did get one back just after the break when Jon Voigt headed a Robertson free kick past Burgess. Bonnyrigg settled however, and Ryan McAdam added an injury-time goal to make the game safe.
