Bonnyrigg beaten as Young bags brace

Bonnyrigg Rose 0Camelon 2

Camelon just shaded the first half going in one ahead after a Craig Young goal on 11 minutes.

The Rose had chances to get back on level terms, notably when Sean Grady and Ross Archibald got into good positions, but could not find the net. After a home penalty claim had been turned down the visitors were then awarded a rather soft spot kick four minutes later when Steve Knox went down after a Stuart Roseburgh challenge. Blair Batchelor then sent the penalty high over.

With 11 minutes left home stalwart Grady earned a second yellow and had to go. Despite this Bonnyrigg kept trying for the equaliser but Camelon held firm and hit the Rose with a sucker punch on 89 minutes. Kevin McLeish lost possession and Young lobbed the ball over a stranded Mark Weir.
