Bo’ness fail to hang on to early lead

Camelon 3Bo’ness United 1

Despite losing an early goal, Camelon Juniors went on to record a convincing victory against a lacklustre Bo’ness who scored first when John Stewart slotted in from a low Nicky Walker cross.

Camelon levelled in 21 minutes when Steven Knox got onto the end of a long ball from Andrew McGowan to half volley past Scott Christie from 12 yards.

Bo’ness had a penalty claim turned down when Ian Nimmo went down under a Steve Graham challenge just on half-time and Camelon went ahead just after the interval when Craig Young fired in a low cross for Steven Knox to score.

Good goalkeeping by Bathgate’s Scott Christie kept the margin down but Camelon scored their third in injury time when David Donaldson shot home from eight yards.
