Bollan ready to face up to former Lions

LIVINGSTON manager Gary Bollan says the number of familiar faces in Ross County’s team tomorrow doesn’t mean the game between the two is any different to any other league tie.

The Livi gaffer insists it will be business as usual at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium, as the West Lothian outfit takes on a top-of-the- table side with eight former Lions in their squad.

After a convincing 6-0 cup win at Irvine Meadow last week, the match gives Bollan’s men the opportunity to close the gap on County to just six points, and Bollan says his side will be going out to win all three points.

“It was a potentially difficult tie in Ayrshire last week, and to a lot of people, if there was going to be an upset somewhere, then it was going to be at our game. However, we went about our business very well.

“I don’t think anyone here at the club is under any illusions about the difficulty of the task facing us to get something from the match against County. We’ll be looking for three points obviously, given it’s a home game, but we’ll have to be at our very best to get them.”

And Bollan added: “It is quite an unusual situation that there are so many ex-Livingston players in the side we will face up to, but we’ll approach it in the manner we think is right as we do every week and Saturday will be no different.”

Derek Adams’s County side come into the match on the back of seven straight league victories – ironically enough Livi being the last outfit to take anything off the Victoria Park men.

With an impressive unbeaten home record stretching for more than 17 months, Bollan is confident his Lions can match the visitors.

“We’ll have done our homework and hopefully that will give us the three points,” he said.
