Division Three: Queen’s seal play-off place but Annan lose ground in race for fourth spot

Queen’s Park made absolutely certain of a play-off place with a 2-0 win over Annan Athletic at Hampden.

Jamie Longworth headed the hosts in front on the half-hour mark.

The hosts sealed victory in the 71st minute when Anthony Quinn fed Ian Watt for a slick second.

Alloa 3 - 1 Stranraer

Champions Alloa Athletic enjoyed a comfortable 3-1 win over Stranraer at Recreation Park.

Ryan McCord gave them a 13th minute lead only for Grant Gallagher to equalise 12 minutes later. Robbie Winters quickly restored Alloa’s lead before McCord added a second.

Berwick 3 - 3 Elgin

Elgin City produced a sensational comeback for a 3-3 draw at Berwick.

Berwick’s Kevin McDonald struck a first minute opener only for Mark Durnan to level. Jordan Forster and Stuart Noble gave Berwick a two-goal cushion before Jason Crooks and Craig Gunn earned the draw.

Montrose 3 - 1 East Stirling

Montrose registered a 3-1 success against bottom club East Stirling at Links Park.

Kevin Turner put the visitors in front before Martin Boyle levelled.

After the break, Gary Wood and a second from Boyle sealed the home victory.

Peterhead 1 - 1 Clyde

Peterhead’s slim play-off hopes were dealt a near fatal blow as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Clyde.

The hosts had taken a 48th-minute lead with an Iain Gray own goal.

However, Declan Gallagher’s towering header in the last minute earned Clyde a point.
