Division Three: Hopkirk’s dogged double denies Elgin chance to go top of the table

Elgin City 2 - 2 Annan Athletic

Jamie Duff headed Elgin into a 30th minute lead but the visitors’ David Hopkirk levelled four minutes later.

The hosts soon regained the lead through Craig Gunn but, after the restart, Hopkirk added his second from an Ally Love cross to clinch a point.

Berwick Rangers 2 - 1 Clyde

Kevin Watt fired the visitors ahead in the 41st minute on the rebound after Bryan Gilfillan’s shot had been blocked, only for Dean Hoskins to level two minutes later.

After Clyde’s Ian Gray was

dismissed, Steven Notman netted Berwick’s 77th-minute winner.

East Stirling 2 - 1 Peterhead

Rory McAllister’s second-minute

penalty had given Peterhead the ideal start but Kevin Turner equalised in the 32nd minute. Paul Quinn flicked on for Turner to put the hosts in front in the 51st minute before Peterhead’s Scott Ross was ordered off.

Stirling Albion 1 - 3 Montrose

Gary Thom’s header gave Stirling an early lead but a Kieran McAnespie own goal restored parity.

Leighton McIntosh netted before Scott Morton added a third.

Montrose’s Steven McNally and Stirling’s Steven Weir were both sent off.
