Anorak: Tangerines’ form could be bad news for the Buddies

DUNDEE United return to Tannadice this afternoon on the back of two imperious away performances. They won 2-0 at Ibrox in the William Hill Scottish Cup a couple of weeks back and, to show that was no flash in the pan, they romped to a 5-1 success in Perth on SPL duty last weekend.

Confidence at United is understandably high. The club seem to have an endless conveyor belt of talent coming through – with Craig Conway and David Goodwillie having been replaced by the likes of Paul Dixon, Johnny Russell and Gary Mackay-Steven, who is already being compared to former Celtic winger Aiden Mcgeady – and today we’ll take them to sweep aside goal-shy St Mirren. The Buddies haven’t been having a bad season but they may be jaded after a midweek trek to Dingwall and United at 4/5 with Coral sounds good.

In England, Norwich City (4/5) can get to the last eight of the FA Cup against Leicester City, who often flatter to deceive, while Crawley have been given too much respect against Stoke so back the Potters at evens. On the European coupon, Borussia Monchengladbach at Kaiserslautern stands out like a beacon at 11/8.
