The Anorak: In-form City can get stuck into Toffees

MANCHESTER City can keep alive their slim title bid by taking three points away from Goodison Park. Roberto Mancini read the riot act after their woeful 3-1 defeat at St Mary’s and three victories later – without reply and with Carlos Tevez scoring in each game – City look to be peaking, albeit too late.

The bookies who go odds against City must think there will be a reaction from the Toffees in the wake of their FA Cup humiliation at the hands of Wigan last week. But, with Nikica Jelavic and Merouane Fellaini both misfiring, I can only see one outcome and rate the away win as the stand-out bet of the weekend. Manchester City are generally available at 6/5.

Liverpool, with red-hot Luis Suarez in their side, look decent even money shots at Southampton. Swansea are generously priced at 5/2 with Scotbet to do the double over Arsenal, while Burnley are too big at 21/10 with Hills to win at Blackburn Rovers.
