Andrew Shinnie ‘leaves Inverness for Birmingham’

ANDREW Shinnie has reportedly signed for Birmingham City after a deal was all but agreed for the midfielder to join the Championship side in the summer.

It is understood that Shinnie has passed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Blues, who are struggling in the league as they lie in 18th place.

The Scotland international, who made his debut last year against Luxembourg, has scored 13 goals for Inverness this season and has been central to Terry Butcher’s ambitions for a top six finish and European football.

Inverness striker Billy McKay has agreed an extension to his deal to keep him at Inverness untill 2015, while midfielder Ross Draper has signed a one-year extension.
