Kyle McAllister’s timing could not have been better. Just a day after returning to St Mirren on loan, and with just three minutes remaining of a compelling, topsy-turvy Scottish Cup tie, the winger jigged in off the right touchline before unleashing a shot with such precision that it broke Alloa Athletic hearts.

Dunfermline 2-2 Alloa: Pars suffer second-half collapse

This one hurt for Dunfermline – really hurt. Having put together a few decent results recently, two-nil up at half time and playing some delightful football with it, they collapsed in the face of a typically spirited comeback by Jim Goodwin’s part-timers, who snatched an equaliser right at the death through Alan Trouten.
