Aberdeen bid for Ross County boss Adams rejected

ROSS County are believed to have rejected an initial approach from Aberdeen for boss Derek Adams.

The Sun report that the Dons made their first move for the highly-rated manager of the Dingwall side earlier this week.

It is believed that County have rebuffed the approach, but expect further overtures from the Pittodrie side who are thought to want their man in charge by next weekend.

Aberdeen have been linked with Adams ever since current manager Craig Brown announced he would be retiring at the end of the current season.

Adams has a year left on his contract at the Victoria Park side, who are currently sitting fourth in the SPL, seven points ahead of Aberdeen.
