Celtic star Moussa Dembele posts cryptic tweet as deadline nears

Celtic are unwilling to sell the 22-year-old unless they can seek a replacement on the final day of the summer transfer window.

This appears to have angered Dembele, who sent out a couple of cryptic tweets.

The first, a meme, read: “A man, without his word, is nothing. A real man keeps his word.”

He then followed that up by writing: “Don’t get it wrong Bhoys and Ghirls nothing to do with people who really care about the club @CelticFC too much respect for you and the crest #CarefulWhoYouCallTheLeaderOfYours” With this he posted another meme, this one read: “A lie has many variations, the truth none.”

Any doubt that the tweets were aimed at either Brendan Rodgers or the Celtic hierarchy, or both, appear to have been washed away by a series of other posts ‘liked’ by the Frenchman.

@KpMcallister: “I tell you what if @MDembele_10 goes I think he’ll go with the fans blessing.

“He’s been brilliant and I think what’s happening now with the broken promises to boyata and now Moussa could make young players second guess coming here.”
