Fog causes delay at Luffness New

sCOTTISH SENIORS: Thick fog caused a delay of more than three hours before the second-round play got underway at Luffness New.

Sunningdale’s John Baldwin, the overnight leader, stayed in the hunt heading into today’s final round after a 72 for a two-over-par total of 142.

He’s two in front of Grangemouth’s Lindsay Blair, who catapuled himself up the leaderboard after a 70.

James Bruce, one of two Edzell players a shot off the pace at the start of the day, slipped to a 76.

Lindsay Gordon, the newly-crowned Lothians champion from Turnhouse, started the day just two shots behind Baldwin. However, he could only muster a 79 on his second circuit and is now nine behind the leader.

A number of players withdrew due to the lengthy delay.
