First for David

DAVID DONALDSON was a worthy winner as he claimed the Bruntsfield Links title for the first time.

He came from dormie two down to win at the 21st in the semi-finals against Alan Anderson, who was bidding for a record tenth win in the event.

And, after starting the
final with four straight birdies,
Donaldson claimed the crown with a 5 and 4 success over Keith MacKenzie, son of the club’s
retired professional Brian.
