ESPN wins rights to send mobiles goals

THE UK mobile highlights rights for all 380 English Premier League games have been won by ESPN.

The Disney-owned broadcaster will be able to send clips of goals and highlights to mobile phones for the next three seasons, starting in August.

ESPN already screens some live Premier League matches after they took over some of rights from collapsed television station Setanta.

Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said: "ESPN's purchase of Barclays Premier League mobile clip rights demonstrates their commitment to the competition and the fans."
