Elliot cashes in at Castle Dargan

ELLIOT Saltman earned £1,433 for finishing joint fourth in this week's PGA EuroPro Tour event over 54 holes at Castle Dargan Golf Club on the Northwest Sligo coast of Ireland.

The Archerfield man had rounds of 67, 69 and 70 for a seven-under-par tally of 206, four shots behind the 10,000 first prize winner, Englishman Ian Keenan (Royal Liverpool) with scores of 65, 70 and 67.

Tartan Tour man Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle) slipped past the youngest of the Saltman brothers, Zack, to finish joint 13th on 209 with scores of 69, 74 and 66.

Zack Saltman, level with brother Elliot at the start of the last round, failed to build on earlier rounds of 70 and 66. His three-over-par 74 (38-36) contained two birdies but simply too many bogeys to stay in the top ten. He finished joint 15th on 210.
