The 26-year-old No 1 seed claimed a 7-6 (7/3), 6-2 win over Germany's Kathrin Woerle in her second-round match. The Scot will next meet Australia's Jarmila Groth, the sixth seed, in the quarter-final. Groth beat Russia's Ksenia Lykina 6-2, 6-2.
