East of Scotland: Whitehill shock students

Whitehill Welfare recorded one of their best results of the season when they defeated second-placed Stirling University 2-0 away from home in the Central Taxis Premier Division. Ross Allum gave Whitehill the lead before Daryl Devlin scored with a 25-yard free kick midway through the second-half.

In the First Division, Leith Athletic stretched their advantage at the top to five points with a 3-0 win against Craigroyston. Goals from Jack Combe, Paul Coleman and William Bremner earned Leith the points.

Gretna 2008 remain unbeaten after their 3-0 win at Peebles Rovers with goals from Gavin Reilly, Dan Reynard and Adam McMath. In the SFA South Region Challenge Cup, Spartans beat Ormiston 5-0, Civil Service Strollers defeated Coldstream 3-0 and Edinburgh City also won 3-0 against Eyemouth United.
