Dundee HSFP 39 - 24 Aberdeen Grammar: Five-try Dundee dispose of Aberdeen

DUNDEE High launched their campaign with a five-try flourish against Aberdeen who were not as streetwise as the Taysiders who opened their try count in two minutes when Taylor Paris followed up his own kick.

Grammar hit back with a Mark Ryan penalty in ten minutes, quickly adding to the tally when Peceli Nacavamuto raced through for a try, converted by Ryan. Jack Steele made it 8-10 with a long range effort before a penalty try, which Steele converted, stretching the lead to seven points. Steele added three more, only for Grammar centre Will to nip in for a try behind the posts. With the score 18-17 for Dundee, they notched tries in the space of 14 minutes to take the game away from the Rubislaw side. Steele, new No.8 Mike Stubbs, and sub Andy Dymock all crossing before Aberdeen wing Ade Hales popped up to score a late try converted by debutant Ryan.
