Dundee hit back with a touchdown in 16 minutes from prop Alan Brown, full back Jamie Urquhart tying the scores up with the conversion.

The homesters pushed ahead with a Taylor Paris try but were then the victims of a refereeing error when Charles Samson allowed scrum-half George Graham to sail in despite receiving a forward pass. Miller not only kicked the conversion, but added a penalty for good measure to make it 17-12 then Graham scored a second converted try to make it 24-12 at the interval. The Taysiders hit back with a try from stand-off Brandyn Laursen, but Millar then kicked another penalty.

A Jack Steele kick made it 27 -20, but further tries from Euan Dods and Craig Robertson and a late Millar penalty kept the Netherdale men in second place in the title chase.
