Dundee High 43 - 36 Currie: Win puts Dundee in sight of creating history

DUNDEE High kept their remarkable season alive in a rousing game to set up two of the most important weeks in their 132-year history, which could see the Mayfield outfit clinch a first Premier league title, while reaching a national final.

But if Dundee were impressive seven-try winners, Currie, inspired by stand-off Jim Forbes, shrugged aside the early Tayside blitz of four tries in the first half-hour and fought back with five touchdowns of their own. Dundee had looked to have won the match just after the break when Cameron Wyper made it 36-10 with a try, only for Currie to battle back. Henry Duthie eased home worries, enabling Dundee to breathe again and prepare for the visit of Stirling County on 7 April and a meeting with Gala in the semi-final of Scottish Cup, both at Mayfield.
