Driscoll falls short in bid to boost medal tally

Kat Driscoll was unable to add to her medal tally at the Trampolining and Tumbling World Championships in Birmingham after she ended her routine early in yesterday’s women’s trampoline final.

Driscoll had picked up silver in the women’s team trampoline event and bronze in the synchronised trampoline earlier in the competition, but had to settle for eighth place in the individual final after failing to complete her routine.

“I knew that in the final if I wanted to be in with a medal chance I had to go out there and nail a perfect routine, so I really went for it and unfortunately today it didn’t pay off,” she said. He Wenna of China took the title with a score of 56.275 points.
