Doyle makes Ulster pledge

AUSTRALIAN openside flanker Sean Doyle is determined to make his mark at Ulster after joining the RaboDirect PRO 12 side.

“I didn’t come here for the sightseeing or the weather; I came here to play rugby,” said the 23-year-old. “I think I was pretty close to making that next step back home but I wasn’t going to sit there and wait for it and Ulster gave me the opportunity. I looked into getting an Irish passport and my manager put me in touch with Ulster.”

Doyle, whose grandfather hails from County Clare continued: “Leaving my family was tough. But, at the end of the day, it wasn’t a hard decision to leave.”
