Double joy as Linlithgow sides reach semi-finals

Linlithgow Academy celebrated a double success last week after both their senior and colts teams reached the last four of the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools under-18 and under-16 Plate competitions.

The under-18s came from behind to secure an away win against Millburn Academy. Linlithgow were trailing 13-12 with full-time approaching when Cameron Dori-Muir squeezed over for the winning score, Gary Ballantyne adding the conversion. Linlithgow’s other points came from a try by Andrew Wood and John Hares and a conversion from Ballantyne.

Meanwhile, on the 4G pitch at Murrayfield, the under-16s relished the fast surface to win 51-7 against Kirkwall Grammar School.
