Darts: Barney heads for Capital

DARTS fans will have the chance to see three former world champions in action in the Capital next month.

Current stars Raymond van Barneveld and Gary Anderson will join legends Eric Bristow and Andy Fordham to compete in the ‘Maybury Masters’ at Gala Casino on Tuesday, February 12.

The casino’s general manager Scott Kincaid said: “We’ve wanted to do a darts event for a while because we know how popular the sport is with our customers, but we wanted to do it properly – and it really doesn’t get better than this quartet. There will be a full stage and screen set so the experience at the Maybury Masters will be like attending any top tournament.”

Tickets for the event, which will run from 7pm to 11pm, are priced at £25 and available from the casino reception with a limited number of 400 available. The evening is strictly over 18s and casino membership (free) is required.

Attendees will also get the chance to quiz the players during a Q+A session, win prizes and have autographs signed and pictures taken with the players.
