Capital cyclist Claire Thomas has chalked up another podium finish in Belgium.

The former Edinburgh RC rider was back in the saddle on Saturday for the 60 kilometre Schellebelle Criterium, which was fast paced over 40 laps of a 1.5 kilometre circuit.

Thomas, who won the Wodeq road race the previous week, featured in a break of four that contested the closing sprint, with Thomas taking third spot behind the Belgian, Liesbet De Vocht, and Elise Delzenne of France.

Thomas had a further outing on Sunday when she contested the 100k Gravenwezel-Schilde road race. De Vocht won with Thomas finishing in 11th spot.
