Cycling: Endura have to be solid

LOTHIANS cycling outfit, Endura Racing, go into tonight's penultimate round of the Halfords Tour Series in Chester desperate for a solid squad performance to stake a claim for the overall title.

Endura currently lie second, three points behind leaders Motorpoint Marshalls Pasta and need to finish ahead of their rivals to have a chance of sealing victory in Woking on Thursday.

Meanwhile, back in the Capital, Nicky Hall (City of Edinburgh) will be looking for a repeat of last week's impressive effort when he lines up for tonight's action in the DHL Meadowbank National Track league (first race 7.15pm).

Hall's performance moved him above David Martin (Bicycleworks) and into second place in the table behind his teammate Bruce Croall, the defending champion.
