Curling: City curlers are on a roll

Edinburgh curlers Colin Campbell and Ross Hepburn both made a winning start to their Perth Masters challenge at the Dewars Centre last night.

Campbell played ‘lead’ for Aberdeen skip David Edwards who beat Canadian Steve Laycock 5-2 to book a second-round meeting with Sweden’s newly crowned European champion Niklas Edin.

Hepburn opened for Warwick Smith and the Perth veteran scored a 6-4 victory over Dutchman Japp van Dorp. Hepburn and Smith face local curler Sandy Christie next.
