Matt Machan stars as Cricket Scotland beat Ireland
Machan helped Scotland run up an imposing 296 for six batting first with a superb century, the 23-year-old Sussex player scoring 103 off 108 deliveries with four sixes and six fours at Blacktown Olympic Park Oval.
Preston Mommsen (56), Richie Berrington (52) and opener Calum MacLeod (41) were also among the runs as Scotland, having won the toss, hit the ground running in their first official warm-up match.

Evans took the first four wickets to fall as Ireland collapsed from 57 without loss - Paul Stirling (37) and captain William Porterfield (23) seemingly laying a great platform for the run chase - to 77 for five in under five overs.
The end was not long in coming after that with Josh Davey (two for 36) and Majid Haq (three for nine) running through the tail as Ireland were bowled out with almost half their allotted 50 overs unused.
Aside from Stirling and Porterfield, Gary Wilson (15) was the only Ireland batsman to get into double figures as Scotland impressed with both bat and ball.
Ireland begin their World Cup campaign against West Indies in Pool B on February 16, with Scotland facing New Zealand the following day in their Group A opener.
