Annette Drummond, sister of former Scotland men’s captain Gordon, hit 39 off 30 balls and skipper Blair was unbeaten on 46. A total of 157-6 was further enhanced by Ollie Rae’s 31 not out from 21 deliveries.

Scotland under-17 bowlers Lily Steindl and Lisa Thomson then combined to pick up three early wickets, ensuring that the Carlton total was never under any real threat. There were also wickets for Cat Sammon and Rosie Jenner before skipper Blair rounded off a great day with 2-2 as Ayr ended on 46-9.
