Cricket: SMRH endure another loss

SMRH's batsmen again failed on a generally disappointing Saturday for the local clubs in the SNCL Championship.

Bowling first at Stenhousemuir, where Robin Crouch took three for 20 and Matt Coyle 2-24 to skittle the hosts were out for 115, everything looked rosy.

However, in reply only three SMRH batsmen - including pro George Worker (22) - made it into double figures as the Edinburgh men were all out for 102.

Pro Kruger van Wyk took five wickets and then scored a half century as West Lothian defeated Edinburgh Accies by six wickets. And Penicuik were defeated by Dumfries at Kirkhill where they were never likely to match the hosts 178.
