City out to make sure of top seeding

City of Edinburgh seek to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they host Bon Accord in the men’s Schelde Sports Scottish Volleyball League tomorrow.

The Capital side lost their 17-match unbeaten run to Kilmarnock Blaze last weekend but are already pretty much assured of top seeding for the play-offs. But while the play-offs teams are now known (Edinburgh, Glasgow Mets, Kilmarnock Blaze and Bon Accord), just who will face who will be determined in the final two matches of the regular season.

Mets and Blaze, who face each other on the final day later this month, are joint second behind Edinburgh with Bon Accord are just two points behind. Cup semi-finalists Edinburgh Jets host Blaze tomorrow knowing that they are now all but free from any relegation danger.
