Chris Russell and Bryan Innes earn top 10 finishes at St Andrews run

It was a busy Saturday morning at the parkruns for the Falkland Trail Runners particularly at St Andrews where 28 members participated in the 5k held within Craigtoun Park.

Chris Russell and Bryan Innes earned top 10 finishes, while Susie Harley was the first FTR woman over the line finishing 46th place.

Meanwhile, Glenrothes athlete John Thomson made it back to back wins on the Highland Games circuit, following his win in the 1600 metres handicap at Birnam Games the previous week, John secured victory over the same distance at the Braemar Gathering on Saturday in his final games outing of the season. The veteran athletes is competing at the World Athletics Masters Championships in Malaga this week as 8000 athletes from 87 different countries gather in the Costa del Sol.
