THE first hole-in-one of Sergio Garcia’s European Tour career has been voted by fans as the circuit’s Shot of the Month for January.

It came with a seven-iron on the 12th hole of his opening round at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship – and was followed by a huge smile and a rather strange fist-pumping routine.

Second was Robert Rock’s fairway bunker shot to ten feet on the 14th hole of the final round the same week and third Graeme McDowell’s ace on the same hole as Garcia.
