Caudal clinches title after play–off drama

LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR: Anne-Lise Caudal defeated Laura Davies with a birdie at the second extra hole of a sudden-death play-off to capture the UniCredit Ladies German Open on the outskirts of Munich.

Both players started the day two strokes behind a trio of leaders and carded matching final rounds of five under par 67 to finish on 13 under par 275 at Golfpark Gut Häusern. After heading back to the tee at the 519-yard par-5 18th, both players made pars at their first extra hole. At the second time of asking, Davies missed a birdie putt from four yards, while Caudal rolled in her birdie putt from three yards to secure the first prize of £41,900and an Audi A5 cabriolet car.

Scottish Ladies Open champion Carly Booth finished outside the top 20 after closing rounds of 75 and 71.
