IRISH boxer Steve Collins is in talks about a return to the ring – after 16 years in retirement – to fight former four-weight world champion Roy Jones Jr.

Once regarded as the world’s best boxer, Jones is still fighting at 44 but has lost seven of his past 14 fights. The American said: “I’ve spoken to Steve and I said, ‘I don’t duck or dive nobody’, so it’s a very big possibility.”

Collins, 48, a former WBO middleweight and super middleweight champion, hasn’t fought since 1997 when he retired after failing to secure a fight with Jones Jr. Collins won 36 of his 39 fights.
