Boxing: Kenny Anderson signs agreement with Ricky Hatton

EDINBURGH boxer Kenny Anderson has finally tied the promotional knot with Hatton Promotions and is poised to enjoy the first fruits of the union.

Anderson, leading contender for the British super-middleweight title and Lonsdale Belt held by Liverpool's Paul Smith, has turned his loose association with former world champion Ricky Hatton's camp into a binding contract which will now see him managed and promoted by the Hitman.

Anderson's ring coach Kevin Maree revealed: "Kenny is already poised to reap the benefits of this new deal. Although Kenny's wife and kids will continue to live in Edinburgh, Hatton Promotions have arranged for Anderson to live in Hyde, Manchester, in a flat near the new gym which will be Kenny's permanent training base from now on."
